Photoshop study

So I'm currently doing some painting studies with Photoshop using Blizzard character sheets. It's been a challenging study (I'm not sure this is the way I want to render things). Not sure what brushes I've used, keeping separate layers for later edits, inking; all sorts of problems to solve. But one thing for sure, I did learn and hopefully I'll get better.
Any how, here's my rendering for #overwatch #widowmaker.

Rock and Roll!

Woah! It's been a long time since I posted anything for this project! Sorry for the long wait.

Yes! September is here! Which means cooler weather! Hooah!
As you can guess, I do not like the heat (lol). So here's an update on the #Roll project. Master bots liking better. Just need to work on #bubbleman next.

Worked on adding some #masterrobots into the piece. Always thought #Gutsman having the most unique design among the bosses. It may be a surprise to some of you, but I've only played Mega Man 2 out of all the series. Good times.

Well #Roll is pretty much done! I must say, I am please how she's looking. There may be a few more tweaks during the completion of the picture, but now it's time to focus on Roll's makeshift "chair."

Hi guys! Got back from my part-time job and I'm exhausted. Was able to do some work tonight on Roll. She's coming along I must say, but still got awhile before I'm satisfied with her rendering.

New project I'm working. #Capcom #MegaMan's (or #RockMan depending what country) sister #Roll is the subject of my next illustration.
She's definitely going to cleanup town!

The Time for Recess is Now!

This is lesson to be learn for all artists. Was working late on this project and was very tired. Something about the image was not working, but I couldn't figured it out. This morning, it dawn on me that TJ lacked the viewer's focus because there wasn't enough contrast. Simple solution, reverse the order of the rising sun stripes to have more darker color surrounding his head.

Disney's Recess was a late discovery of mine. A fun and clever show about kids at school mixed in with a bit of Hogan's Heroes. One of my favorite episodes was called Dodgeball City, a homage to Spaghetti Western so I decided to a poster in that style.

I wanted to draw a female character, but found I had some difficulty drawing her. Didn't want to hide my deficiency; this is about showing personal development and how I need to improve. Needless to say it was more than 20min.
Afterwards, I decide to draw mirror universe Mr. Spock which was a lot of fun.

I grew up watching the #themunsters as a kid. When I was young, I was afraid of the classic monsters (vampires, werewolves, etc). But The Munsters helped me realize the monsters can be cool and friendly. Thanks Herman!

Did one for Curly Howard today, but didn't do the 5min drill. Been a long day and too tired. Too tired to draw you say? "Why Soitenly!"
The bottom drawing was done yesterday of Robert Downey in Tropic Thunder. "I'm the dude playin the dude disguised as another dude..."

Starting new exercise

Hi guys! So starting today I'm trying something new. Everyday I want to post a drawing exercise. I'm hoping it will help my drawing skills and as well as my observation skills. We'll see what happens. Lately, I've been listen to a lot of Captain America First Avenger OST so I figured I'd use Cap as my first exercise.
The way it works is that I give myself 20mins, then draw the image again at 10mins, and final at 5mins. The purpose to to capture the essentials of the image and not waste and line strokes.

Time to move forward

Hi guys. It's been awhile. Sorry I haven't posted anything for awhile, but I have been going a lot for the past months. I've been demoralized for a period of time, but I've come to terms with it and going to move forward.
I've been doing some drawing exploration for "The Philosopher's Engine". I think I want to redesign Tetra for this project.

So the story of this image is that it's a parody of Nintendo's 25th Anniversary illustration where we had all the Links of the franchise up to that point. There's also another joke to my image; why name a franchise where the hero's name isn't Zelda? I'm mean, it really is about Link, right? Lol. Anyhow, Happy 30th Anniversary Zelda! Can't wait for #TwilightprincessHD and #zeldawiiu!
